According to the Battery Act (BattG), batteries may not be disposed of with household waste. As an end user, you are therefore legally obliged to return used batteries. As a distributor of batteries and products containing replaceable batteries, we are obliged to take back old batteries (with the exception of products with permanently installed old batteries), whereby our take-back obligation is limited to old batteries of the type that we carry or have carried as new batteries in our range, as well as to the quantity that end users usually discard. Batteries are marked with a symbol crossed-out garbage can marked. Batteries containing harmful substances are specially marked with chemical symbols. For batteries that contain more than 0.0005 percent by mass of mercury, more than 0.002 perc.
